Eagerly expecting the release of ‘Aadukalam’, his second film with Dhanush, director Vettrimaran of ‘Polladhavan’ fame is getting ready to start his next project, which is set in his favourite territory- North Chennai. Aptly titled ‘Vada Chennai’, the film will be produced by Dhayanidhi Alagiri of Cloud Nine Movies. “I will start working for the movie once ‘Aadukalam’ (acquired by Sun Pictures) is released,” the director says. On reports that Silambarasan had been approached for the lead role, Vettrimaran says, “I am holding talks with three heroes. Nothing has been finalised yet. An official announcement will be made after things get shape.” Happy about ‘Aadukalam’, he says, “it is a contemporary film set in Madurai. Before starting the film, we went to temple town, stayed there and did extensive research. Dhanush cooperated very well.”
